Football season is in full swing here in the Lowcountry! Whether your family is cheering for Clemson, the Gamecocks, or your favorite NFL team, we've got a fun way to keep your little fans entertained during the big game.

This DIY Football Field Goal Game is easy, inexpensive, and made with supplies you probably already have at home. The best part? Once the crafting is done, the real fun begins!

Ages: 5+ with adult help

Craft Time: 20–30 minutes, plus drying time

🏈 What You'll Need

  • 3 jumbo craft sticks per goalpost
  • Yellow paint or markers
  • Small piece of cardboard
  • Green construction paper or paint
  • White marker or crayon
  • Brown construction paper
  • Glue
  • Scissors

βœ‚οΈ Let's Get Crafting!

Step 1: Build Your Football Field!

Cut a small rectangle of cardboard and cover it with green construction paper. Add white yard lines to make it look like a miniature football field.

Step 2: Make Your Goalpost!

Paint three craft sticks yellow. Glue them together to form a Y-shaped football goalpost with two uprights and a crossbar. Let everything dry.

Step 3: Stand It Up!

Have a grown-up help secure your goalpost upright on the cardboard field using strong craft glue or a small cardboard support. Allow it to dry completely.

Step 4: Create Your Footballs!

Cut small football shapes from brown construction paper. Use a white marker to draw on the laces. Make several so everyone can play!

Step 5: It's GAME TIME!

Place your goalpost on a table, line up your paper footballs, and use your finger to flick them toward the uprights.
